How Kip picks products
The rules every recommendation has to pass. Last reviewed 6 November 2026.
- Certified for the claim. A product only appears on a case if that specific model is independently certified (for example to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 or 58, or the Australian WaterMark scheme) for the exact thing the case is about. We check the certificate, not the box.
- Fix the free way first. If a habit change solves it (like flushing the tap), we lead with that. Products are optional.
- Never ranked by commission. Whether we earn money from a link, and how much, has no say in what we recommend or in what order.
- Available in Australia. Sold and shipped here, with Australian consumer guarantees.
- No health claims. We don't say a product cures or prevents anything. We say what it's certified to reduce.
- Dated and re-checked. Every case shows when it was last reviewed. If a certification lapses or a fact changes, we update the page or remove the pick.
